I'm an illustrator from China.

I’d like to provide editorial illustrations for newspaper and magazines; make books for publishers; and design for packaging and advertisement.

As an international student from an oriental culture, I like the works of multiculturalism. Before studying illustration, I studied art history for several years, especially ancient Chinese religious art. Therefore, I often seek inspiration from myths and ancient murals. However, I do not want to imitate and copy ancient elements blindly. So I only choose the key elements I like as the indispensable parts in my painting, such as curves, sense of floating, movement and so on. Compared with simple narrative stories, I prefer to create a dreamlike atmosphere in painting, especially scenes full of mystery. This organic style is more interesting and solemn for me.

I like to show people happy and pleased with oneself, no matter what the environment looks like. Therefore, in my works, the characters are often designed to think with closed eyes, and seldom show intense emotions. I also like juxtaposing things in different time and space to show the human’s thought world. This is because I believe that no matter how the environment changes, people should keep their original intention and keep calm, which is also my attitude to life that I want to convey through my works.
